'"Armstrong goes on to talk of a scene where male models stand in the corner of a room during a party, in frozen mannequin poses, sometimes framing them between some of the 'beautiful' party-goers. The phrase 'All-American' comes up multiple times throughout this movie, mostly in dialogue but also once on a sweatshirt.

It stands out amongst the industries other bits of lingo - like the baffling question people keep asking: 'Does he jump?'

But I mean fair in the sense that I try to be open to the experience I have in making the film…. the makeup / photoshoot sequence set to “planet claire”...my face melted. There’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it but nonetheless crucial moment in this utterly sublime Wiseman entry in which we witness a group of young men and women marching in a picket line - carrying signs, clenching fists - moving with purpose and meaning. It all starts here. At one point, a higher-up at the agency says that only 2%-5% of prospective models are signed, and even then, their careers are usually short. Oh great, another Wiseman featuring “Strike Up the Band.”, "These people are doing a documentary for a network. Documentary titles that deal with the world of fashion, from the designers to the models to the media. A mildly difficult concept for another tv ad is talked about like its production is akin to the art of filmmaking, ready and waiting to usurp the art form in 30-second swoops. I think it's satisfactory for that purpose.
