Dad and I read this book together. Before the book was published, The Secret, written by Rhonda Byrne stomping reason to think a lot of people.
Nothing really for the Secret Seven to solve. The vet wavers the bill, and says that he also loves the horse, and would like to have a share in him, as the Seven already have a share in Brownie also. After Jack loses his secret seven … We’d love your help. So one can only assume that since this book was written in 1963, the early stages of Enid's illness was once again rearing its ugly head. The Secret is actually a book that I have read and enjoyed so far. They are a secret club that enjoy having an adventure and like helping charity in fun ways. ‘Do you ever pick anything up when you drop it? it was very nice. I loved Enid Blyton when I was younger and can't wait to re-read these with my own children. i reccommend these books for any child under 10. Eventually Mr Dinneford takes the money, saying, "Good riddance to a nuisance of a horse, I say...". Tolly is amazed at how much money has been raised.
There really isn’t much mystery or excitement. My favourite part was when the party happened. these books i grew up with. Although as I recall, the Secret Seven used to solved mysteries, this however was targeted at a much younger audience it seems.
All rather mysterious and confusing! He tells them of Old Man Tolly who lives in a tumbledown house on the top of the hill, and whose horse's back legs were injured. There is clear distinction between the characters and settings of each of h. A perfect ending to the sprawling Secret Seven series.
(The Five, whilst not named, do get a final plug when Janet reads a story about four children in a smuggler's cave with their dog, Timmy!) To those who say Blyton's books are all just carbon copies of each other, I have to disagree.
The secret seven try to pay the vet's fees for a horse named Brownie. ... Be the first to write a review.
. Children are told the real, secret reasons for things parents say.
That would brighten the story a lot. Peter's father explains about the police vet, who had checked over Brownie, and said he wouldn't be able to work for quite a while. It is a box set I’ve acquired since then, and hope to reread soon. Peter's father also agrees to stable Brownie on his own farm, and asks Tolly to work for him. Plot strands are started and utterly forgotten about, characters forget what they are supposed to be doing or feeling from page to page, and the narrative is a complete mess. I like it, but I think it could use some comedy. The farmer he used to work for, Mr Dinneford, wants to shoot Brownie the horse, as the poor animal is clearly incapable of doing his work. Jack is one of the secret seven. Revisiting the books of my youth out of a feeling of nostalgia!

Back when I was a child, I used to love all of Enid Blyton books, although now that I’ve grown up quite a bit, I no longer love them as much as I once did because as somebody who has seen the world as it is, I know that the likelihood of anything in the novel ever even happening is close to impossible. The seven children show great generosity. This is undoubtedly the worst book that Enid Blyton ever wrote, and the fact that she seems to have all but totally lost her mental faculties by this point is undoubtedly to blame. This book is of the secret seven series and it is a dry book, just like many other secret seven books.
Whether it be a compliment, or otherwise provides a sharp critique.
I loved it. I used to read Enid Blyton when I was young and the Secret Seven were one of my fav along with the Famous Five. I'm going to miss these characters... Of all the secret seven books I think this one is the least interesting.
Refresh and try again. This is yet another incident of Enid's early stages of illness where she has clearly forgotten what has already been written. Where she must find a will written by Josiah Crowley. by Hodder. "The Secret" is a book that teaches people to think positively, remove all pessimistic thinking from our mind and become a more successful person. It made me want to explore the idea of forming secret clubs with badges and passwords and such.

Another example of this is at the meeting that afternoon. I will rate it 6 out of 10 points. 2. I have not personally read this book by Enid Blyton, but I have read numerous other books in the Secret Seven series and I always find them amusing, to say the very least.
